She was a secretary at International Harvester for many years. Katie had a youthful zest for life which showed in the enjoyment that she received from spending time with her family. She was a true gift from God to the Keating and Bixler families. A contemporary woman of tremendous class and grace, a cultured woman of great style but most of all of love. Katie practiced mindfulness, observing all of us as we went through life, letting it all happen good or bad but being there for us. There for us without interference or judgement. Always there to pick up the pieces or to celebrate our accomplishments with us. The love that she had for her family was the foundation of our lives and for that we are truly grateful.
Katie will be sadly missed by her nieces & nephews, Marilyn Peters, Joyce Dietsch, Kathy Near, Deb Hand, Kenny & Ed Keating, Sandy Mickelson, Nyletta Nofer, John Burkhold and dearest friend, Kurt Graves.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick, whom she married July 15, 1950; siblings, Edna Witt, Helen Birkhold, Elsie Robinson, Mabel Ames and Kenneth & Wayne Keating and nieces & nephews, Dorthy Molitor, Nancy Rogers, Tom Robinson, Bob & Phil Ames, Florence Husted & Karen Carlile.
Her funeral service is Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, 10:30 am with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St. Antwerp, Ohio.
