Emma, like her sister Marie, was a stenographer for the government for many years. Specifically she worked for the Navy Department.

Emma married Charles Marion Lashorn in Jan 1915 and was granted a divorce from him by the court in Nov 1920 on grounds of desertion. He was a Postal Clerk.

She later married Policeman Roy P. Kelly.

Emma was the sister of Marie E. Orem, Fannie V. Clews, Mollie J. Combs and Mosby Williams, Jr.

She was the eldest (known) daughter of Mosby Williams, a Watchman in D.C., and Georgianna Carter.
