Herschel Tuttle was killed in his home (1190 W. Kurtz) along with his Wife Martha and three Daughters Barbara, Majorie and Diane, in the F5+ Flint/Beecher Tornado of June 8, 1953. His body was found over a mile away from his home. Herschel was the Son of Ephriam "Doc" Tuttle and Minnie (Robinette) Tuttle. He was the Father of Son John D. Tuttle, who passed away February 1, 2011, and surviving Daughters Juanita and Mrs. John (Bonnie) Hall. He was also the Brother of Mr. James Tuttle of Walled Lake, Michigan and was the Uncle of Mitchell and Jeffery Tuttle, presently residing in Florida.
