Obituary in The Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, 14 Mar 2005: Dorothy Weeks Hutto of Laurel Crest died Saturday, March 12, 2005. Born in St. George, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Asbury and Ethel Ackerman Weeks. She was educated at Lander College and retired as a school teacher. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Walterboro. Mrs. Hutto was a member of the D.A.R., the Colonial Dames XVII Century and the Colleton County Historical Society. Surviving are her husband, Fletcher Hutto of Laurel Crest, West Columbia; son, Carroll F. Hutto of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Ann Hutto Cooper of Atlanta and Mary Hutto Hahn of Columbia; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
