Douglas Warner Gamel, (75), went to sleep on November 23, 2019 at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas with family at his side. As a young man he worked in offshore drilling and later began a career in Air Conditioning and Heating working for Ed Kretzinger until he began his own company from which he retired after 30 years.

Doug was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses July 19, 1969. Not only was he privileged to busy himself in the kingdom preaching work, he also volunteered on numerous building projects for Kingdom Halls. He was very giving of his time and of his secular experience managing to keep you cool much longer than anticipated. He was loved by all who knew him and never met a stranger. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, fishing and mostly going different places in the motorhome, meeting different people and seeing new and exciting places.

Doug is predeceased by his infant daughter, Sheila Diane, his father, Raymond Carl (RC), his mother, Rosie, his sisters, Rosie Pauline (Polly), Stella Mae (Cricket), and brother Carl Wayne.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pam, his sons, Stephen Warner, and Michael Douglas, his daughter Stephanie Michelle, his niece Kylie Megan Campbell who he raised like a daughter, Dawn Gamel, his sister Leathy Ann (Lea) Noble, his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug will be missed by all who knew him, but will be resurrected to a life filled with love and happiness. The family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and especially all that cared for him from Transitions Hospice for their professionalism and compassion.
