Funeral services for James Dean Magee were conducted by Rev. J. M. Ward at the Walker & Clifton Funeral Home, 88 King Street West, on Saturday afternoon, with the very large attendance and the many beautiful flowers being testimony of the esteem felt for him. Interment was at the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery with Bruce Barham, Robert Hutt, Gordon Paterson, James Milne, William Hobbs and Don Ridley, acting as pallbearers and Fred Funnell, Leo Peach, John Lockhart, Roy Griswold, Jack McArter and Lorne Hyden as flower bearers. Mr. Magee died at Alexandra Hospital, on March 20th as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident 2 weeks previously. He was born in Putnam 72 years ago and had spent his entire life in Ingersoll and district. For 40 years he was the engineer at the Bordon Company and for the past 3 years, had been employed at Alexandra Hospital. He was a member of the Borden Quarter Century Club. Surviving are two sons, Cecil in Korea; Raphael in Saskatchewan; three daughters, Margaret, at home; Mary, London; Mrs. H. D. Johnson [Helen], Brantford; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Ridley, Riverside; and one grandson, James Walker, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. - Ingersoll Tribune, Mar. 27, 1952
