Agnes Elizabeth Height, 88, of Los Angeles, CA, died November 27, 2019, born December 24, 1930.
Agnes Elizabeth Height, known to family and friends as Betty, died of natural causes on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at Huntington Memorial Hospital. Betty lived and worked in Southern California for over 50 years, most of those years as a resident of La Canada and parishioner at St. Bede the Venerable in La Canada.

Born on Christmas Eve 1930 in Colorado to Lewis and Agnes Height, Betty spent her childhood years in Denver and Steamboat Springs with her siblings and many Killian cousins from her mother’s side of the family. Betty and her family came to California in 1942, where they settled in Eagle Rock and became active members of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She attended St. Andrews High School in Pasadena (Class of 1949) and then earned her B.A. in English from Immaculate Heart College in 1953.

After a short time as an elementary school teacher, Betty started a 35-year career in sales and training for IBM, still finding time to tour the United States and travel to Jamaica and Europe. Betty loved to play piano, walk and swim, and especially enjoyed spending time at Descanso Gardens in La Canada.

Betty was predeceased by her parents Lewis H. Height Sr. and Agnes Rosella (Killian) Height, and her brothers Lewis H. Height Jr and Robert K. Height. She is survived by her sister Mary T. McCorkle
