Wilma Grace (Evans) Castor, daughter of William Marion and Odessa Fay Evans was born in a covered wagon in Hazelton, Kansas on August 9, 1927, They were on their way to Arkansas eventually settling north of Vici and Grace attended Vici School until the 8th grade. She then went to help her older sister who was sick. Grace grew up working in cafes and various jobs. She worked for Cowden Manufacturing and Trego's West Wear. She was united in marriage to Ernest Castor on Friday the 13th in September of 1957. They resided in a $3,000 house at 1820 3rd street in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were married in the United Brethren Church at 14th and Texas. Grace was a housewife after marriage which was a full time job.
She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and made many scrubbies. She dedicated her life to the Lord on April 29, 2007 at the First Assembly of God in Woodward and was baptized by Reverend Lonnie Rutherford.
Grace is the last remaining member of her family. She is survived by a son Don Cunningham and wife Diana; two daughters, Sheryl McKinney and husband Steve and Debbie McCord and husband Mark; one grandson Daniel McCord and wife Robin; one granddaughter Lori Johnson and one great-granddaughter Trinity Dawn McCord; her husband Ernie Castor of the home; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
