On Wednesday November 20, 2019, Evelyn Lucille Irwin Banks passed away peacefully at St. Clair Hospital in Pell City Alabama at the age of 90. Mrs. Banks had many titles through her life including Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and the most prized name Nanny. Mrs. Banks was born March 22, 1929 in Columbus Georgia to Jesse Irwin Sr and Suzie Irwin. She went on to marry Thomas Oscar (T.O) Banks on ¬¬¬¬August 22, 1947 and moved to Odenville Alabama where they had 5 children, Linda Green (Tommy), Risa "Gayle" Hughes (Lynn), Phylis Roberts (Robbie), Jeffrey Banks (Angie), and Travis Banks. She had her hands full with seven grandchildren, Lesa Sims, Michael Hughes, Belinda Green, Josh Green, Renee Mayben, Mary Hughes and Evan Laird. Mrs Banks also had 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs Banks is survived by two sisters, Naomi Turner and Miriam Hyatt and one brother, Joseph Irwin along with her children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Suzie and Jessie Irwin Sr. and her husband, Thomas Oscar (T.O.) Banks.
Funeral Services will be on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
