Terry L. Knapp, 63 years, of Fremont, NE died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont. Terry was born November 6, 1954 in Fremont to Shirley (Roemer) Hetrick and Henderson S. ‘Hank’ Knapp.

He was raised in Fremont and attended Fremont Senior High School. He was employed at Valmont Industries for 43 years. He volunteered for the Fremont Rural Fire Department formerly known as Inglewood Fire Department from 1979 to 1992. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his children, Shane and wife, Claudia Knapp of Italy, Jeremy Knapp of North Bend, NE and Christina and husband, Kevin O’Keefe of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; and life partner, Lorna BlackBonnet.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 23, 2018 at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Pastor Chip Borgstadt will officiate. Members of the Fremont Rural Fire Department will be present.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fremont Rural Fire Department.
