Benjamin Isaac Castañeda died after being involved in a Thanksgiving Day auto accident. A woman has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter after driving the wrong way on the freeway and hitting several vehicles. Two other individuals were injured in the crash.

The school's Espuelas de Plata Mariachi Band ~ with tears in their eyes ~ played and sang from their hearts in honor of their friend and fellow band member. In unison, the crowd said "We love you Ben" as purple balloons were released into the Texas night sky.
