Sue Ann Feezel, 81 of rural St. Elmo, Illinois,died at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, Illinois, with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the First Christian Church, Brownstown, Illinois, with Pastors Nathan Brands and Tom Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 and for one hour prior to service time, all at the church. Memorials may be made to the Brownstown/St. Elmo Sports Boosters, First Christian Church, Brownstown, Illinois or the Brownstown CUSD #201 Foundation. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown, Illinois, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Sue Ann was born on Monday, May 30, 1938 in Shidler, Oklahoma to Bethel and Clara (Robertson) Dowell. She married Bobby Feezel on November 28, 1959 in Avena, Illinois, and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary later this month. She was a 1957 graduate of Brownstown High School. Sue enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events having been present for many basketball games over the years. Branson, Missouri was a favorite destination for her and she took pride in her yard and especially enjoyed mowing. She was employed for over 35 years as a bookkeeper for the St. Elmo Grain Elevator and later for BJ Propane and Propane Plus.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Feezel St. Elmo, Illinois; son, Greg Feezel St. Elmo, Illinois; daughter, Deborah Fulk Brownstown, Illinois; grandchildren, Dustin (Kari) Fulk Brownstown, Illinois;Savannah (fiancé Ben Wiltse) Feezel, Effingham, Illinois; Landon Feezel St. Elmo, Illinois; great grandchildren, Quinn and Daxton Fulk; brother, Bobby (Margaret) Dowell, Vandalia, Illinois; sister, Geraldine Bryant, Dix and Bettie Scott, Brownstown, Illinois.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Knott, father, Bethel Dowell and stepfather, John Knott; son, Randy Feezel, grandson, Garrett Feezel, granddaughter, Kassy Nadine Fulk, son-in-law, Doug Fulk, brothers-in-law, Bud Bryant and Jack Scott; sister-in-law, Imogene (Bob) Barnick and brother-in-law, Billy (Betty) Feezel.
