Victor Sherrill Pendley, 68, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home with his wife by his side. Born August 26, 1951 in Marion, NC, he was a son of the late Frank Pendley and the late Bonnie Wyatt Birchfield. He was a graduate of Nebo High School and retired from the Holiday Inn in 2011. He enjoyed fishing especially in the French Broad River and playing his guitar. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Haney, and a grandson, Zackery Pendley. Surviving is his devoted spouse of 28 years, Wanda C. Pendley; children, Melinda Pendley of Durham, NC, Johnny Pendley of Hendersonville, NC, Shannon, Christopher, and William Fetner all of Silver Hill, AL; siblings, Angela Mitchell of Burnsville, NC, and Curtis Pendley of Concord, NC; step-father, Frank Birchfield of Charlotte, NC; and nine grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
