A service for Ethel May Hants, 89, Franklin, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin with the Rev. John E. Iliff officiating. Friends may cal from 3:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Hants died Friday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
She was born April 9, 1893, in Johnson County to Albert L. and Della Laura (Neville) Dragoo. She attended county schools and lived most of her life in the county. She lived in the Whiteland area for several years.
She married Ernest Hants Sept. 4, 1912, in Johnson County. He preceded her in death July 6, 1967. She was a member of Community Congregational Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Joann Atkinson, Boonville; two sons, Albert G. Hants, Greenwood, and Arthur W. Hants, Lawrence; a brother, Loyd Dragoo, Speedway; a sister, Mary Stillabower, Greenwood, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lowell.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the Community Congregational memorial fund.
