George Dehn, 65, of rural Marshall, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 30, at First Baptist Church in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.

Memorials may be made to Community Cancer Center or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

In addition to his wife, Bea, George is survived by one son, Chris Dehn (Tonya) of New Bloomfield, MO; two grandsons, Colton and Wyatt Dehn; one brother, Russell Dehn of Fayette, MO; one sister, Mary Durham (Garry) of Gilliam, MO; a sister-in-law, Patsy Dehn of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles Edward Dehn and Virginia Louise Sleeper Dehn , George was preceded in death by one son, Brian Dehn; and one brother, Roger Dehn.

George Dehn, 65, of rural Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Dr. Mike Parris and Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Community Cancer Center or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born June 26, 1954, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Dehn and Virginia Louise Sleeper Dehn. He lived in Saline County most of his life where he was a 1972 graduate of Marshall High School and a 1976 graduate of Missouri Valley College. On June 17, 1978, he married Bea McKinney who survives of the home. He retired from Public Water Supply District No. 3. He was a member of The Optimist Club, and a former scout master of Troop 42 where both of George’s sons attained the rank of Eagle Scout under his leadership. He enjoyed playing and being with his grandkids, loved woodworking, hunting, being outdoors, biking and participating in “Ride the Rockies”.
