♥༺✿ IN LOVING MEMORY ✿༻♥

TIMMY, OUR SWEET SON. 24 years, 4 months and 15 days. Timmy was murdered and robbed by someone he knew and loved.

TIMMY is the Grandson of: Ernest Monroe Combs, Dock N. Burton, Sr. and Maudie M. Coffey-Burton.

PILOT TIMOTHY DYWANE BURTON, II

Airman Timothy "Timmy" DyWane Burton, II age 24 of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Tim was a Christian who loved God, his family, and friends.

He was a 2013 graduate of Arkansas High School, a member of the National Honor Society, and the Drum Line leader playing all percussion instruments with the snare drum being his favorite.

While in high school, Timmy attended and graduated from the Airplane and Powerplant Mechanics Program at the Texarkana Regional Airport where he became an Aircraft Technician Mechanic.

Tim also attended Henderson State University majoring in Aviation where he received his pilot's license. He was an Aviation Mechanic, Aeronautical Engineer, and Pilot.

Tim enjoyed nature and was an avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, hiking, fishing, and swimming. He also loved Scouting, he was a cub scout, boy scout and earned his Eagle Scout in his teen years. He loved animals and had a very sensitive heart towards them. He was also good at naming all of our pets.

When Timmy was small he did not enjoy watching cartoons or Disney movies like his sister, he was content taking his toys apart and putting them back together. His dad finally bought him his own set of tools when he was three years old because dad's were always coming up missing.

Growing up Timmy played all youth sports including baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was very athletic and loved to be outside either riding his bike, jumping on the trampoline, or swimming in the pool. As he became a teenager, Timmy and his best friend, Jarvis loved playing video games. Their favorite was "Call of Duty" and every year they came out with a new one.

He was very affectionate and outgoing with a heart of gold, when he loved someone he loved with his whole heart. He never met a stranger, therefore he had many friends that loved him and was a comedian that kept us all laughing. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Timmy had an outstanding sense of humor, he could make you laugh even if you didn't want to. Once, when he was around five years old he had lost his front tooth, I told him that I wanted to take a picture of him and wanted him to smile really big so I could see it. He got real excited and said, "Wait one minute." He ran into his bedroom and got a pair of his underwear, put them on his head like a cap and smiled really big. Another time, he was around 10 years old and he had one of those big plastic fake bugs. He decided to put it in the mailbox to scare the postal carrier, who was also our neighbor. The next day when I went to check the mail, the postal carrier had found the bug and put it on top of the mail. I had no idea he did this, while he was at school I checked the mail. When I saw the big plastic bug I yelled so loud that it echoed through the neighborhood. I remember his sister saying, "I told him not to do it Momma." We have countless stories and memories and we are so grateful to God that he gave us Timmy.

HOW TIMMY MET COURTNEY:
One particular memory of Timmy that I think of often is when he went to college, the freshmen started a week early to get to know the campus, students, and teachers. Timmy decides that he will walk around with a British accent and tell everyone he meets that he is a foreign exchange student studying abroad. That's how he met his college sweetheart, Courtney. It didn't take her long to find out what he was doing when she walked up behind him one day and surprised him. I will never forget him calling home and telling us that he had met the most beautiful girl in the world. He brought her home one weekend and she told us what he was doing. All his dad and I could say is, "That sounds just like Timmy!" We couldn't be more grateful for all the memories.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dock N. Burton, Sr., Maudie M. Coffey-Burton, and Ernest Monroe Combs.

He leaves behind to cherish his sweet memory, his parents, Timothy and Tammie Burton of Texarkana, Arkansas. One sister, Taylor Burton of Texarkana, Texas. Grandmother, Bobbie Combs-Terry of Texarkana, Arkansas. Uncle, Tony Combs of Texarkana, Arkansas. Goddaughters, Karleigh and Zoey Vann who affectionately called him "Uncle Timato." Best friend since the 3rd grade, Jarvis Warren and a host of other relatives and friends across the United States.

A memorial service was held at Halls Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm with his great uncle, Pastor Milton Glass officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a random act of kindness in honor of Timmy.

THE NIGHT YOU DIED, I felt your Spirit leave your physical body. At first, I didn't realize what it was but, soon after I knew. When the police officer told me that you were deceased, I felt something hit me in the top of my head and it entered my body running straight through me down to my legs and out of my feet. I've never had anything hit me like that, it took the breath out of me and it made me so weak I couldn't walk. Daddy had to carry me to the truck. It was as though you waited until we arrived to make your departure. Praise God for Eternal Life, I'm so grateful that we are still together in Spirit. Oh what a Reunion we will have in Heaven when I see you again. I Love You Sweet Angel. ----- Momma-----

You told me that you loved me everyday and gave me the biggest Hugs, I sure do miss that!

~ Mom

We now know what the HUGE feathers in the sky meant, the first sunset after your death,
Psalm 91:4 - "He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection."

We always knew Timmy was special, he was so sweet, thoughtful and smart. We didn't realize until his funeral just how many people he had touched. So many young men from high school told incredible stories. He was so young but, he had accomplished so much. While trying to exit the church, I was stopped by so many people who had a story to tell of how he had helped them. We were taken aback by so many people wanting to tell their experiences and what he did for them. It was truly a blessing and we are so grateful to all of them for sharing.

To our loving son, Timmy - our hearts are broken without you. You were our whole world. We will miss you for the rest of our lives but, we will meet again as God's promise of Eternal Life. Until then, we will strive to be more like you and we will be more patient and kind. But, most of all we will respect others and their feelings more as you did while here on this Earth. Thank you for all the fun, laughter and lessons. We are so proud to be your parents, it was a joy.

Love you Always,
Momma and Daddy

11/17/2022 As Thanksgiving approaches so does Timmy's Angel Day. When two souls are joined as one they never separate, they can't. Do I believe in Angels? Yes, I have a few very special ones. The one that gave me a hug every day and told me "I love you, momma" is the one that never lets go of my heart, it's his heart too. We share it. Someone asked me how can I be grateful on Thanksgiving? My answer is, "I'm grateful I had Timmy for 24 years, 4 months, and 15 days." I am grateful for that every day. Find something you are grateful for this Thanksgiving and thank God that He let you have it. Blessings to all of you this very special Thanksgiving Day. ♥

Hope" is the thing with feathers

"Hope" is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I've heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

------EMILY DICKINSON

No earthly treasures did He own,
He sought no wealth or fame.
Weary was the path He had to trod,
here He suffered many things,
for this world knew Him not.
He died upon the cross,
the Son of God.

God has marked each sorrowing day, and numbered every secret tear. And Heaven's long age of bliss shall pay, for all His children suffer here.

A child is so special, to lose one is beyond explanation. The pain never ends. Living with the loss never goes away. Please love bereaved parents because what they really need no one but God can give them and that is the promise of eternal life. ♥
