In her will, Juliet SHIP named as one of her four living sisters, Louisa HILL.

In her will, Juliet SHIP named as her niece, Juliet B. ABBOTT, daughter of her sister, Louisa HILL, late Louisa ABBOTT.

In his will, Henry BEATTY named as his daughter, Louisa HILL to have certain named books.
Said daughter, Lousia HILL, wife of Rees HILL, her 1/8th portion to be minus all debts due his estate from her late husband, William ABBOTT. Her portion not to be used by her present husband.

In his will, Henry BEATTY gave 1/8th portion of his estate to Mary J. HENNING, stating that at her death, any remaining parts given to: Catherine Anne WILSON; Sarah Matilda CHENOWITH and the heirs of Louisa HILL.

In the estate inventory of Rees HILL, as it pertains to the slaves, it states, "Named held under the will of William ABBOTT, deceased, the first husband of Louisa HILL under which will as we are informed she took only as estate in them for her life having in her marriage settlement with Rees HILL had a portion of the slaves."

In his will, William ABBOTT named as his wife, Louisa to enjoy his farm with all its contents.
She must pay off all his debts, educate and support their children, not named.
If she dies before their youngest child reaches legal age, the property to be rented out to support his family.
Stated that his executor can sell other properties in Virginia and Kentucky, if funds are needed.
Said wife, Louisa ABBOTT was named the executor of his will.

Indebted to The Valley Bank of Winchester, Virginia for $320 with Henry BEATTY of Winchester, Virginia bound as his security. Also, indebted to said Henry BEATTY for a not of $310.94, to secure said debts and offer him indemnify fo r$1 paid by James CASTLEMAN to hold in Trust as collateral his slaves: Jenny, a woman and her five children: Emily, Dolly, Morgan, Fanny and Robert. Also, Armistead.
Failure to make good his debts, seizure of said property, sold at public auction.
