MISS ROGERS IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Native of Macon, she taught in school for blind
Miss Fannie Margaret Rogers, 43, former Macon County resident, died at 3 a.m. Friday of last week in a Winston-Salem hospital, where she had been a patient for 10 days.
Miss Rogers, who was a native of the Flats Section where she had lived most of her life, was serving as an instructor in the State School for the Blind at the time she became ill. She had served in this capacity since January.
Following the death of her parents, Mr and Mrs. Robert Rogers, she had made her home in Franklin with her brother, Charles N Rogers and was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church.
Funeral Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Union Methodist Church, with the Rev V N Allen officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
