The birth index lists name as Russell Haddock, I'm sure this has caused many to add her to their family trees as a son of Saul Haddock and Ida Holloway. She is listed in a 1940 census however as Runell, a female. Her obituary, while very brief was located on genealogybank.com. It named her burial place as Sandhill Cemetery, and listed the mortuary that handled her services. They were able to confirm that Sand Hill Cemetery in Pamlico County was the correct cemetery. One other discrepancy between her birth index and her SS Death index is her birth year, the birth index stated 1931, her SSDI , 1930. For the time being 1931 will be used, hopefully once a photo of grave is taken, it might clarify birth year.

Runell was married on 5 Nov 1949 to a Ray (Junior) Toler Jr., One known child, a son, Lester Raymond Toler 1950-1997) named in a birth index, names his mother as Runnell (two n's). Searches on ancestry using a broad range of dates did not reveal any other children at this time.
