A long-time resident of Fairfield, she served many years as a teacher and counselor for Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District and in 1992 was honored by F-SUTA for 39 years of dedication to children and the field of education.
She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Arnold Abel Parkinson; niece, Deborah Abel Gattung; nephews, Douglas Scott Abel and Sterling Kent Abel; grand nephews, Jonathan Abel, James Scott Abel, Jacob Abel and Christopher Abel; grand nieces, Holly Gattung, Randa Gattung, Kelly Abel, Jaime Gattung, Kristy Abel; and great-grand niece, Elaina Mae Gattung-Solberg.
She lived her life always displaying to her family and friends the fruits of the spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. She will never be forgotten.
