Mazeppa -- Mrs. Cathrine Hofschulte, 86 years old, died early today at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Befort, here. She was born January 6, 1865, in Belgium and came to this country when a small child. She was married to John E. Hofschulte May 14, 1889, at Bellechester. He died in 1948. Survivors are: seven sons, Emil, Peter, Herman and Alvis, all of Mazeppa; Carl of Milwaukee, Wis.; William of St. Paul and John Jr., of Rochester; four daughters, Mrs. Nick Reding, Lelia Hofschulte and Mrs. Joyce Evenson, Mazeppa and Mrs. Eugene Ryan of Goodhue; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schmitt and Mrs. Mike Conrad of Harvey, N.D., Mrs. Anna Hofschulte of Hammond and Mrs. William Hofschulte of Mazeppa; 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Mazeppa. Rev. Stephen Majerus will read the Mass. The Right Rev. D.J. Lavery will deliver the sermon. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers: Vincent Hofschulte, Lyle Ryan, Gerald Reding, Donald Hofschulte, Michael Ryan and Francis Palzer. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the St. Mary's Altar Society
