It is believed that Abigail and her husband Sgt. Peter Bradford are buried in this cemetery in unmarked graves. She the dgt. of Nathaniel & Priscilla (Bailey) Loring of Pembroke and Duxbury, MA. Her husband Peter Bradford served as a Sgt. in the Massachusetts Militia during the Revolutionary War. He moved to Winslow, ME abt. 1795 and then lived in Vassalboro, ME until he and his son Martin bought an 80 acre farm on nearby West Road, Readfield in 1820. Their eldest spinster dgt. Judith moved there with them. After Peter and Abigail died Martin continued to own the farm on West Road until 1840 when he sold it and moved his family to St. Albans. Martin's daughter-in-law (sp. of Charles) d.1842 and is buried in this cemetery and her gravestone is still present.
