Mr. Johnson died Sunday, Aug. 25, at his home.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Johnson was born April 14, 1931, son of James D. and Pearl Bridges Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Whites Chapel Church and a Korean War Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Heard Johnson; one daughter, Dale Marie Webb of Plano, Texas; one sister, Maureen Williamson of Bowdon, Ga.; and three step-grandchildren.
