Eunice A. Phinisey, aged 84, the widow of Earl R. Phinisey, formerly of Clare and recently of Grand Rapids, died Wednesday Feb. 19, in Blodgett Memorial Medical Center Grand Rapids.

She was the daughter of Icem and Jane Elizabeth Slentz.

Surviving are her daughter Mrs. John (Patricia) Bergstrom of Grand Rapids, 3 step daughters, Mrs. Robert (Eola) Burns of Walnut Creek, CA. Mrs. Anthony (Harriet) Zahringer of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Arthur (Thelma) Craven of Fruitland Park, Fla., 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; 1 brother Floyd Slentz of Walnut Creek, CA; and 1 sister Mrs. George (Helen) Milton of Washington D.C.

Mrs. Phinisey was a Past Matron of Zenobia Chapter O.E.S. and First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Firt United Methodis Church of Grand Rapids, will be appreciated. Arrangements by Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service, Grand Rapids. Clare Sentinel, 25 February 1986 Page 14
