Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brusie Funeral Home for Orena Elsie Gakle, 86, of Chico, who died Friday at a local hospital.
She was born Nov. 4, 1892, in Alda, Neb., to Samuel and Clara Spencer. She was a registered nurse for 60 years, serving 40 years of that time in the Chico area.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur F. of Greenville, Paul S. of West Sacramento and Willis N. of San Jose, and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Carl E. Walker of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Joyce Bae will be the organist.
Inurnment will be in Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha, Kan.
