Glenn E. Berkheimer, 82, formerly of Dover, entered into rest on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of the late Joyce E. (Boyer) Berkheimer who passed in January of 2012. They were married for 51 years. Born November 3, 1940 in Dover Township, Glenn was a son of the late Ralph F. and Catharine B. (Lamparter) Berkheimer. He graduated from Dover High School and worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. Glenn was a member of Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsman Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers. Glenn is survived by his son, Troy Berkheimer of Cross Fork; five grandchildren, Eric Berkheimer, Traci Berkheimer, Travis Berkheimer, Cole Berkheimer and Wade Berkheimer; a great grandchild; a brother, Wayne R. Berkheimer and wife, Cynthia of Dover; and three sisters, Sonja A. Crisamore of Dover; Carol K. Sarver and husband, Robert of York and Irene F. Lau and husband, James of Dover. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Steven and Douglas Berkheimer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Glenn's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore, pastor of Dover Bethany U.M. Church.
