Lena Anfinson was born to Anfin and Ellen Anfinson April 23, 1872 at Story County, Iowa. She was baptized at the Fjeldberg Church, Story County, Iowa, and confirmed at the Palestine Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Iowa.
She came to Wright county In 1899. She was united in marriage to C. L. Berg on Sept. 4, 1902. They lived near Holmes, Iowa until 1928 when they came to Eagle Grove. The four surviving children are Anna, Mrs. I. M. Wherry, Evansville, Indiana, Alva of East Chicago, Indiana, Esther of Forest Park, Ill., and Sarah, Mrs. Gordon Garrison of Sioux City, Iowa. Her husband and son, Christian, preceded her in death.
In addition to the immediate members of the family she is survived by four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Carrie Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa, three brothers, Henry Anfinson of Cambridge, Iowa, Harry Anfinson of Clarion, Iowa and Elias Anfinson of Estherville, Iowa and Mrs. John Christopherson of Cambridge, Iowa, a cousin who made her home with them.
Besides being a kind and loving mother, she was a thoughtful and charitable friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
