Clarence "Moonie" Mooningham Obituary
Funeral services for Clarence Edward "Moonie" Mooningham age 83 of Shelbyville, will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday March 23, 2016 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Ron DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Mr. Moonie passed from this life Saturday, March 19 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Bedford County, he was born August 6, 1932, was the son of the late Wiley Gray Mooningham & Sophie Lorene Crosslin Mooningham and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy June Moulder Mooningham (Nov. 16, 1998), sister, Mary Bass and his pet dog, "Buddy".
Mr. Mooningham worked as an industrial plumber for R.N. Wilson Contractors for 30 years. He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing on the Duck River, and loved all his pets. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors; children, Connie (Steve) Mann of South Fulton, TN, Patricia Ann (Bobby) Massey of Smyrna, TN, Larry (Freda) Mooningham of Shelbyville, Tina (Tony) Hudson of Shelbyville, grandchildren, Tammy O'Neal, Brad Mann, Keith (Ashley) Massey, Sherry Massey, Karen (Rico) Jefferson, Carol (David) Wiser, Robin (John) Wiser, Kelly Mooningham & Brian (Kelsey) Oldfield, 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Warren of Shelbyville, and Mildred Perdue of Murfreesboro.
