Nancy Ann MILLER RATHFON ALLEN RIDER

Mrs. Nancy (RATHFON, ALLEN) RIDER [nee MILLER], 82, died at the home of her granddaughter Mrs. Chester HANNA in Burlington.

Survived by a daughter [Anna Pearl NICHOLS], a sister [Mrs. Mariah FRANKLIN], and the grand daughter [nee Alice PULLEN].

Services 19 Jan, Flora Christian church; burial Maple Lawn Cemetery.

I am doing a huge project of tracking most Carroll County Indiana families. Generally I find most posting at Find-a-Grave is not done by genealogists, but since you mentioned it, I thought I'd add what I know for this family group.

As there is so much information on Jacob Rathfon's Find-a-Grave page it appears you may be connected and may want to complete the story.

Jacob's wife Nancy Miller [b. 12 Feb 1855 in Howard County Indiana, d/o George A. Miller & Nancy Caplinger) married Jacob, as you have noted, as his second wife – married 15 Sep 1878 in Howard County Indiana.

They had two daughters: Anna Pearl b 1882 in Indiana [Md NICHOLS] and Emma May b 1891 in Cherokee County Kansas. [md PULLEN]

Nancy married second as you note, Robert Perry Allen on 7 Sep 1907 in Carroll County Indiana. (His first wife was Delilah Franklin)

After Robert Perry Allen died Nancy md a 3rd time, in Oct 1925 in Howard County Indiana, to Jeremiah Rider (as HIS second wife). He died before 1930

Nancy died in 1938 and is buried in Maple Lawn in Carroll County Ind, under a stone shared with her second husband Mr. Allen.

Her 1910 census entry notes she has had three marriages and has two children both living.
