Graveside funeral services for Robert Earl Brantley, age 82 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Thomas will officiate.
Mr. Brantley was born October 24, 1937 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Felix Alexander and Kathleen Sapp Brantley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Hok Brantley. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He was the former owner and operator of Brantley Standard Service Station. He was a retired truck driver and Logger. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Brantley passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Serenity Place.
Mr. Brantley is survived by his wife, Martha Darsey Brantley of Dublin, 4 sons, Robert Earl Brantley, Jr. of Dublin, Christopher D. (Laura) Brantley of Dublin, Mark J. Brantley of Spartanburg, SC, and Michael S. (Tiffani) Brantley of Woodstock, 3 brothers, Jerry Brantley of Dublin, Wendell Brantley of East Dublin, and Merle Brantley of Dublin, a sister, Janice Brantley Smith of Dublin, and 2 grandchildren, Rachel (Tyler) Brown of Atlanta, and Wil Brantley of Milledgeville.
Pallbearers will be William Brantley, Stacy Brantley, Bobby Brantley, Roger Brantley, and Steven Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Brantley to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 Attn: Office of Development or to Serenity Place at 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
