Services for Emma Smith Tibbs of Cleveland, a former Portsmouth resident who died in Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, were conducted at the SMith & Sanwith Funeral Home there.
Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. Mrs. Tibbs, who lived in Portsmouth 50 years, was a matron at the Norfolk & Western Railway YMCA for 28 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Anna Welsh of Cleveland, four sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren.
