On the 12th June 1920 Earl left to go to his brothers (Vernon Jones) home in Phoenix, AZ, hoping the weather and doctors there could help him recover from what he thought was the flu, but it was TB he had for over a year. His daughter Elena was born July 1920 Estelline, Hall Co., TX,and Earl never saw her. He died and his body was shipped back to Estelline for Burial, by train, with his brother, Vernon & his wife.
