WALES - Sanpete County - Richard Price, 80, civic and church leader, livestock raiser and farmer, died suddenly Friday night of short illness.
He was born September 14, 1866 in Wales, a son of Richard and Margaret Thomas Price. Throughout his life he has been active in community affairs, as president of the Wales Irrigation Co., president of the Wales Cooperative, city councilman and in many other capacities.
He married Charlotte Reese in 1896 at Manti.
Surviving are his widow, three sons, Lloyd and Stanley Price, Wales; Richard L. Price, Provo; two sisters, Mrs. L.U. Christensen, Moroni; Mrs. E. J. Paul, Murray, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wales Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Wales Cemetery.
