Walter Caleb Burrows, age 83 of Fairborn passed away Friday Dec. 5, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 4, 1920 in Covert, MI, to Claude and Elizah (Maiden) Burrows.

He was a proud WWII Army veteran; a member of the American Legion Post #526 in Fairborn and a member of the Wright View Church of Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Ulena; a daughter and a son in law, Bonnie and Dan McDonough, Springfield, OH; 2 sons and daughters in law, Lonnie and Jan Burrows, of CA and Robert and Marie Moon-Burrows, Dayton, OH; stepdaughter, Fonda and her husband, Dan Setters, Yellow Springs, OH and step-son, Rickey Leach and his wife, Donetta, Springfield, OH; sister, Pauline Nutter, Kalamazoo, MI and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lillian; brothers, Claude, William and Elmer and sisters, Tressa, Lucy, Brittiemert, Celia and Gwinavere.

Friends may call from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 East Main Street, Fairborn, OH, where funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2003 at 11 am, Reverend Vernon Hurles officiating. Interment will be at Byron Cemetery.
