Benton Lee “Benny” Ervin, age 77, of Pegram, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Smithville, TN on August 23, 1942 to the late Tom Lee Ervin and Alma Carter Ervin.
Along with his parents, Benny is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Margie Ervin and their grandson, Kenneth Lee Ervin.
Benny is survived by his children, Kenneth Virgil Ervin and Deahana Allen; grandchildren, Brandy Ervin (Stuart), Lauren R. Ervin (Robert), Lucky John Ervin, Levi Nelson Ervin, Liana Kaylee Ervin, Jerry Lee Allen(Laura), and Brent Douglas Allen(Brooke); and great-grandchildren, Stevie Duncan, Sturlyn Duncan, and Tristan Deardorff and Tatum Deardorff.

Benny proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he returned to Middle Tennessee and began working for Coca-Cola as a truck driver; eventually working his way up to a management position. He retired after over 30 years. Benny was a mason, holding a membership at West Nashville Phoenix Lodge #131.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:30am at West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 8th from 12:00pm until 8:00pm, and again on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service. Benny will be laid to rest beside his wife at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
