John was born October 22, 1949 in Rushville, Indiana, the son of the late Raul and Helen (Borem) Tyler. He graduated from Rushville High School and was employed as a grinder until his retirement. In his spare time John enjoyed woodworking and classic cars. He was a member of the Rushville Lion's Club and Moose Lodge. He was known as a prankster and loved life.
On Oct. 27, 2006 John was united in marriage to Sandy Waldron Dove and she survives.
John is survived by a son Caleb (Tessa) and a step daughter Mary Morabito (Josheph) and a grand daughter Sofia.
