Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Rita Flach, 74, of Coxsackie died Monday, September 14, 2015, at Albany Medical Center. Born March 21, 1941, in Catskill, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ernest and Louisa (Swartout) Campbell. She lived her life as the matriarch of the Flach family. She spent years teaching reading comprehension at Alcove Christian Academy. Many will also remember Rita as a faithful volunteer at Teddy Bear Nursery in Coxsackie. Her first career was bookkeeping for many years at her husband's growing business, Flach Development & Realty Inc. She was a long-time member of Community Life Church in Catskill where she helped her husband teach an adult Sunday school class. Rita was an active member of the Christian Women's Club of Coxsackie. Rita is survived by her husband of 57 years, John P. Flach of Athens; her daughter, Connie (David) Teator of Coxsackie; her sons, John C. (Liz) of Ravena, Mark (Gabriella) of Coxsackie, Wayne (Sandra) of Ravena and Aaron (Rebecca) of Selkirk; grandchildren, Keith (Chelsea), Mark Jr. (Jamie), Joshua (Colleen), Jessica (James), Cody, Jack, Gracie, Wayne Jr. (Kerri), Curtis, Melissa, Sierra, Andrii, Anna, Jordan and Slava; great- grandchildren, Deegan, Iona, Aidan and Brileigh; sisters, Dawn Frees of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Helen (Stanley) Ingalls of Freehold and Loretta (George) Langdon of Greenville. Rita also has many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Erma Pettit; her brothers-in-law, Leo Pettit and Bill Frees; her niece, Allyson Benjamin, and her grandson, J C. Flach Jr. Calling hours are Tuesday, September 22, from 1-4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. at Community Life Church in Catskill. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, also at Community Life Church. Fellowship and dinner to follow the service. A private interment will be held in Cedar Shade Cemetery at the discretion of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Life Church of Catskill, 20 West Main St., Catskill, NY 12414. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W. C. Brady's Sons, Inc.
