“ MILLER, Mo. — Vivian LaVaughn Farris, 69, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at a Mount Vernon nursing home after a long illness. Mrs. Farris was born April 13, 1928, at White River, S.D. She moved to Miller in 1965. She was a homemaker. She married Ray Farris on Dec. 23, 1955, at Quartzsite, Ariz. He survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, LaNell Richardson, Canton, Ohio, and Gerry Tennis, Miller; three sisters, Melva Pattison, Many, La., Margaret Henson, Wofford Heights, Calif., and Doris Leach, Miller; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller, with the Rev. Bruce Rinker officiating. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens, south of Miller. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. “
