MILLARD CORBETT GODWIN of Melbourne, FL died at home - he was the son of James Millard and Lou Bell Corbett Godwin. His father died before his birth and he was raised by stepfather, James Daughtry Davis and his mother. Rocky was a U.S. Navy veteran, earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tri-State University, worked in the phosphate industry and was an active member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jean Moser Godwin (married 1952) on February 10, 2015, surviving are brother, James D Davis, Jr of Middlesex, NC; children, Jeffrey Stuart (Jo) Godwin, Richard Ewell (Donna) Godwin, Diana Godwin (Ralph) Masker; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne is serving the family. Published in the Florida Toady July 7, 2015.
