Services celebrating the life of Dr. Pamela Anders Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches. Officiating will be Reverends Donald Avery and James Poole. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday evening at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Pam was born February 26, 1964 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2007. She was a dedicated lifetime and active member of First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches, and a board member of the Wesley Foundation. A lifelong educator, Pam was an Associate Professor with the College of Business at Northwestern State University. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics from Northwestern State University in 1985, her M.S. in Statistics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1990, and her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 1994. Pam was a supportive and active member of her community and Northwestern State University. Professionally, she was a member of the NSU Athletic Council, Institute for Supply Management, National Association of Purchasing Management-Baton Rouge and Shreveport Affiliates, and APICS - The Educational Society for Resource Management. She proudly held membership Beta Kappa Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Sorority, the Business Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Left to cherish Pam's memory is her husband Pat Miller, son Nick Johnson, parents Ed and Jolene Anders, and her brother Michael Anders, all of Natchitoches. Pam will be fondly remembered but sadly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Anders. Pallbearers will be Doug Garrett, Gary Miller, Michael Miller, Rick Hargis, Jack Pitcher, and Mark Swanstrom. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Joel Worley, Ray Hargis, and Bart Cotton. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. James Knecht and Dr. Patrick Connor and the staff of Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center. For lasting memorials, the family asks contributions in memory of Dr. Pam Anders Miller be made to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1400, New York, NY 10122 (www.ocrf.org), First United Methodist Church, or the Wesley Foundation of Natchitoches.
