Denise W. Quan, nee Quon Chung Kew, was born near Guangdong, China, to Quon C Yuen and Quon Sui Yee. She married Alfred W Quan and bore one daughter before they crossed the Pacific to a wondrous future in America. They settled in San Antonio, had two more daughters and moved to Wellton, AZ, where she sought naturalized citizenship to the United States. Chung Kew chose her new westernized name Denise and was certified on 12/16/1954. The family moved to Winterhaven, CA and then again to San Antonio where she lived until she passed away peacefully at home. Her husband Alfred and brother York Man Quon preceded her. She is survived by daughters; sister, half-brother, and many caring relatives and close friends. Her family extends warm thanks to those who gathered at her bedside or called to encourage and cheer Denise during her recent illness. We appreciate that the Crossette Drive neighborhood held her dearly as their own, and we thank Odyssey Hospice for paving a smooth final road for Denise.
