Arthur A. Smith
Arthur A. Smith, 66, of 34 Westview Ave., West Hartford, died Monday morning [21 Apr 1952] at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Woodbury, June 4, 1885, son of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Adby Smith. He was a member of Wyllys Lodge. AFandAM, and Storer Chapter. OES. He was also a member of the Foremen's Club at the Royal Typewriter Company and First Church of Christ, Congregational, in West Hartford. He was employed at the Royal Typewriter Company until his retirement a few years ago. Besides his wife, Mrs. Grace Mover Smith, he leaves two sons Winfred A. and Lloyd O. Smith, both of West Hartford; a sister, Mrs. Jane Bellmay of Waterbury, and two grandsons. The funeral wil1 be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 776 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday, with Masonic services Wednesday; at 8 p.m.
