Thelma Sneed Paul, 90, of Cave City died Sunday, August 25, 2019.

She was born Monday, April 15, 1929 in Brookland, AR. to Charles Oral and Dara (Rupard) Stalcup.

For 28 years she was a foster parent for Evening Shade and Cave City Schools. Most knew her as Granny. She was an avid dancer and card player. Once, she received an award for walking over 1000 miles one summer.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy E. Sneed of New Castle, DE.; one daughter, Virginia Ann Knappenberger of Evening Shade, AR.; one sister, Betty Veteto of Jonesboro, AR.; five grandchildren, William Duvall, Angela Hatfield, Ann Marie Ring, Brian Patterson, Craig Patterson; six great-grandchildren, Petra Ring, Zoë Ring, Trever Hatfield, Corey Duvall, Tristan Duvall, and Gavin Patterson.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Arthur Sneed Jr.; second husband, David D. Paul; and one son, Kevin E. Sneed.

Pallbearers are Tim Hatfield, Trever Hatfield, David Bailey, Dwaine Satterwhite, Paul Slade, and Erbie Perkey. Honorary pallbearers are the card players.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Cave City 1st Assembly of God with Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitations will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home in Cave City.
