Rose Maszk, 91, died March 9, 1997, at home.

She was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Warsaw, ND, to Robert and Lillian (Grabinski) Walski, and attended school in Warsaw. She came to Longview in 1951.

Mrs. Maszk had worked as a grocery clerk at Red & White Grocery in Kelso and Gerard's in West Kelso.

She liked to knit, sew, cook and dance. She was a member of the Early American Pattern Dancers and the Merry Mixers. She was also a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.

Her husband, Julian Maszk, preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Gerald M. Maszk of Kelso, Robert L Maszk of Redmond, OR, and Dennis Maszk of Seattle; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St Rose Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Minder officiating. Interment will be at Longview Memorial Park.

Viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday at McVicker's Chapel on the Hill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Home Health & Hospice in Longview, WA.
