Al graduated from University of Nebraska with a Bachelors Degree in Business in 1958. After college, Al was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army at Fort Benning. Al started his career in public accounting and worked for Cox Broadcasting in Financial Management for 16 years. He was in cable tv consulting for several years before managing family property in Augusta, GA.
Al enjoyed playing golf at the Atlanta Athletic Club, going to the beaches on Hilton Head Island and traveling the world with the love of his life Nancy.
He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: socializing with friends and family and encouraging and mentoring to many International college students. Many of these students became not only friends, but part of Al’s extended family who he loved dearly.
