"CONSTABLEVILLE --- Oscar Arcand, 75, a former resident of N. Y. Mills, died at his home on March 29, 1982. Born on April 3, 1906 at Trois Rivieres, Quebec, he was the son of Eugene and Josephine Dumont Arcand. As an infant, he moved with his family to Biddeford, Maine where he spent his younger life. After the family moved to N. Y. Mills, Mr. Arcand, a millwright, was employed by the A. D. Julliard Co. and by Savage Arms Corp., Utica for many years. Mr. Arcand married Rosaline M. Anken in Utica on June 22, 1935. For 32 years, the Arcands have lived on the Anken farm in Highmarket with Rudolph Anken. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville. Besides his wife, survivors include four sisters, Yvonne Moran, Waterville; Mrs. Harold (Juliette) Hardy, N. Y. Mills; Antoinette Hildreth and Gabriel Yerman, both of Utica. Funeral on Thursday at 8:30 a. m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville and at 9:30 at St. Mary's Church, Constableville followed by interment in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica.
