Brother of Mrs. Pearl Baughn of Glen Allen Virginia, Mrs. Etta Cauthorn of Ashland, Virginia, Mrs. Georgia Allen of Glen Allen, Virginia, Mrs. Eleanor Gershowitz of Epworth, Virginia, Boyce Tiller of Richmond, Virginia, Henry Tiller of Pennsylvania and John Tiller of Richmond, Virginia. Cousin of Mrs. Celle McClellan of Ferndale. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He had been a labor foreman for the Road Department of Humboldt Co. for the past 5 years and was a member of the Humboldt County Employees Association. He had worked as an electrician in the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard in Richmond, Virginia, prior to coming to California in 1943. A veteran, having served eight years in the U.S. Navy, he was a native of Richmond, Virginia, age 60.
Services will be held at Sanders Funeral Home Wednesday, January 17, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Harold Lloyd officiating. Pallbearers will be Waino Antilla, Robert Hickok, Glenn Sigler, Gene Bannister, Joe Nellist and Melvin Colby. Interment, Ocean View Cemetery.
