Beatrice "Bea" Ann Keller, SCN, 79, of Louisville, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at Nazareth Home in Louisville. She was born in Detroit, Mich., and was a professed Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 25 years. Years before entering the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, she married her high school sweetheart after graduation and raised seven children. During that time she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and homemaking.

In 1994, she made first vows as a Sister of Charity of Nazareth and began her healthcare ministry after earning a nursing degree and master's degree. As a nurse, she served at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville and later at Nazareth Home. In 1998, she earned her doctorate in education from Spalding University and served as an instructor in the nursing program. From 2003-2009 she served as a family and community educator. Beginning in 2009, she moved to Nazareth where she served others as a volunteer and a driver.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Keller and Carl Keller. She is survived by five children, Renee C. Taylor, Lynn M. Bergen, Monica A. Reeve, Allen M. Keller, and Robin M. Binkowski; one brother, Michael B Eyl; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and by her religious community. Visitation and a prayer service is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Nazareth Home Chapel in Louisville. The wake is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Church at Nazareth. The Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Church at Nazareth with burial in the Nazareth Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the SCN Office of Mission Advancement, P.O. Box 9, Nazareth, KY, 40048. The Ratterman Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
