August 29, 1926, John Wesley Heard was born to Peter and Ada Heard in Fort Bend County. John Wesley Heard responded to the call of our Heavenly Father ad passed away quietly and peacefully to eternal rest at his home in Crabb Tuesday, July 30, 2002. He was a devoted member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 50 years, Thelma Heard, his children, Frankie Williams of Dallas, Evelyn Smith (Jeremiah) of Missouri City, Floyd Heard (Roberta) of Houston, Carol Heard of Houston; his sisters, Ada Grayer of College Station, Lena Heard and Tennessee Heard, both Los Angeles, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
