June 27, 1948 - The Atlanta Constitution article reported that the Department of the Army announced the body of Cpl Otis E King was being returned from Europe to the United States aboard the United States Army Transport Greenville Victory.

His body arrived back in Lawrenceville, Thursday July 14, 1948.

Funeral was held July 18, 1948.
